Truffle Hunting

Truffle Hunt Tours are held during the Fresh Truffle Season from 1st June - 31st August, on Saturdays and Sundays only.  Additional tours, for groups of 6 or more, may be possible subject to availability.

You can join our truffle manager and team of well-trained, champion truffle hunting dogs on a truffle hunt and experience the exhilaration of finding gourmet black truffles. Once a fresh truffle is found, you will be able to experience its texture and smell its pungent and unique aroma.

Our unique truffle hunt experiences are held at our Manjimup Truffière. Take a look at this video of our Truffle hunting team in action.

Truffle hunting dogs are able to discover truffles growing 30cms beneath the earth, a good truffle dog can locate a truffle with pin-point accuracy from 50 metres away.

After the truffle hunt, our complimentary truffle product and wine tasting will put you in the mood to experience the mystical and tantalising flavours of the black truffle gourmet delicacies available at our on-site truffle Café matched with our award-winning Truffle Hill Wines. (Café bookings are recommended if you are planning on staying for lunch.)

Please note that lunch is optional and does not form part of the package – but it’s a great way to cap off a fun experience.

Truffle Hunt Information

Daily Tours commence promptly at 9.30am and conclude at 12pm.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time.

All you need to do after that is arrive at our Cellar Door and Truffière by 9.15am on the day of your tour. Tea and Coffee is provided on arrival.

Do not forget to dress for the weather as the tour is outside. Manjimup can be warm in summer and cold in winter. Protective clothing and footwear are provided.

Please Note: Our Truffle Hunt tour is best suited to children over 11 years. We do not have any child minding facilities and cannot cater for younger children as there are no seats or baby capsules to accommodate .

The tour also goes near the hazelnut trees which may cause medical issues for people with allergies to nuts.
